In advance of summer Olympics in London Aeolab created programming for and oversaw installation of
large custom-manufactured glass panels spanning the length of a building's facade -
a signature element of then new BMW Park Lane showroom in the city's posh neighborhood.
The panels are embedded with voltage-controlled LCD membranes that gradually change opacity from
nearly transparent to matte white based on computer input, playfully toying with the gaze of occasional
passerby. Programmable LED lighting fixtures controlled via DMX interface add glowing highlights at
the top and bottom of each panel to further activate the facade from the twilight hours.
